C.J.(Sun Oct 07 2007 21:41:19 GMT-0700 (PDT))>

are you aware that long lines scroll off the right side of the window?

Michael(Mon Oct 08 2007 00:42:53 GMT-0700 (PDT))>

That may be an issue with the chat software. Sometimes this does cause all the sentences to be cut off.

C.J.(Sun Oct 07 2007 21:44:08 GMT-0700 (PDT))>

can you tell me who to contact to resolve the chat software issue?

Michael(Mon Oct 08 2007 00:44:27 GMT-0700 (PDT))>

Let me check and see if this can be done directly. One moment please.

C.J.(Sun Oct 07 2007 21:45:36 GMT-0700 (PDT))>

Ok C.J. what you can do is reset your browser, and that will correct the word wrap feature.

C.J.(Sun Oct 07 2007 21:48:36 GMT-0700 (PDT))>

"reset my browser"?

C.J.(Sun Oct 07 2007 21:48:46 GMT-0700 (PDT))>

you mean hit "control alt delete"?

C.J.(Sun Oct 07 2007 21:48:57 GMT-0700 (PDT))>

or do you mean "have you tried rebooting"?

C.J.(Sun Oct 07 2007 21:49:01 GMT-0700 (PDT))>

this is not a client side issue.

C.J.(Sun Oct 07 2007 21:49:16 GMT-0700 (PDT))>

you need to tell your development staff about this issue. Open a bug with the web development team.

C.J.(Sun Oct 07 2007 21:50:00 GMT-0700 (PDT))>

tell them to remove the pre-formatted CSS style property

Michael(Mon Oct 08 2007 00:50:23 GMT-0700 (PDT))>

No. I see that you are using Firefox as your browser. What you will need to do is reset your browser to default. I also see that you have installed numerous toolbars, and that can affect your browser as well. I was able to confirm this is not a chat software issue.

C.J.(Sun Oct 07 2007 21:50:37 GMT-0700 (PDT))>

they may read about CSS here: http://www.w3.org/TR/CSS2/

Michael(Mon Oct 08 2007 00:51:43 GMT-0700 (PDT))>

Is there anything else I can help you with at this time that is Comcast related?

C.J.(Sun Oct 07 2007 21:52:08 GMT-0700 (PDT))>

ah, here it is. Have them remove the overflow-y: auto; CSS property

C.J.(Sun Oct 07 2007 21:52:21 GMT-0700 (PDT))>

would you like a snippit of the XHTML they may update?

C.J.(Sun Oct 07 2007 21:53:14 GMT-0700 (PDT))>

The CSS class is called 'sanssmallblack'

C.J.(Sun Oct 07 2007 21:53:41 GMT-0700 (PDT))>

I can not confirm receipt of the email containing billing information.

Michael(Mon Oct 08 2007 00:53:41 GMT-0700 (PDT))>

The issue is not with our chat software, so there would be nothing we can do on our end. You can try to contact us back using a support browser like Internet Explorer.

C.J.(Sun Oct 07 2007 21:54:22 GMT-0700 (PDT))>

I'll blog that. Can you confirm that you have submitted a bug report?

Michael(Mon Oct 08 2007 00:55:19 GMT-0700 (PDT))>

There is no need for us to submit a bug report for our chat software, as the browser you are using is unsupported. I can go ahead and e-mail you those statements or you can view them online at www.comcast.com.

Michael(Mon Oct 08 2007 00:55:29 GMT-0700 (PDT))>

Did you need me to e-mail you those statements?

C.J.(Sun Oct 07 2007 21:55:43 GMT-0700 (PDT))>

That would be super smile

Michael(Mon Oct 08 2007 00:55:50 GMT-0700 (PDT))>

For your protection I will need to verify some information before I can make any changes to your account. I will need you to verify only one (1) of the following: the last 4 digits of the Social Security Number on the billing account, the billing account number itself, or the amount of your last bill.

C.J.(Sun Oct 07 2007 21:55:56 GMT-0700 (PDT))>

I'll let your users know that you do not support Firefox.

Michael(Mon Oct 08 2007 00:56:47 GMT-0700 (PDT))>

Thank you for that. I will go ahead and e-mail what statements we have on file as soon as this chat is over with. Is there anything else I can help you with at this time?

C.J.(Sun Oct 07 2007 21:57:20 GMT-0700 (PDT))>

Submit a bug report requesting that firefox be supported

Michael(Mon Oct 08 2007 00:57:45 GMT-0700 (PDT))>

I can go ahead and pass that recommendation along.

C.J.(Sun Oct 07 2007 21:58:09 GMT-0700 (PDT))>

great. Please have your manager contact me at the email I have provided confirming that this bug has been submitted.

Michael(Mon Oct 08 2007 00:59:27 GMT-0700 (PDT))>

I will go ahead and let him know about your recommendation to support Firefox, however this is not something Comcast supports. You will need to reset your Firefox browser and see of that corrects the error.

C.J.(Sun Oct 07 2007 21:59:56 GMT-0700 (PDT))>

Please clarify. Are you refusing to ask your manager to contact me?

Michael(Mon Oct 08 2007 01:01:26 GMT-0700 (PDT))>

That is not what I am saying. I can transfer you to a supervisor, however as I stated previously we do not support Firefox as a browser, and the best I can do is submit a recommendation for Comcast to support Firefox in the future. I will also forward this chat transcript to my supervisor immediately.

C.J.(Sun Oct 07 2007 22:01:57 GMT-0700 (PDT))>

Excellent. Thank you for your help. I will wait on hold for your supervisor.

Michael(Mon Oct 08 2007 01:02:26 GMT-0700 (PDT))>

Absolutely. One moment please

Michael(Mon Oct 08 2007 01:02:35 GMT-0700 (PDT))>

Hello, C.J.. My name is Dana and I am the floor lead on duty. I understand you are having an issue with our chat software and Firefox. How can I help you with that?

Hello Dena

C.J.(Sun Oct 07 2007 22:03:06 GMT-0700 (PDT))>

er, Dana

C.J.(Sun Oct 07 2007 22:03:26 GMT-0700 (PDT))>

I understand that your development team does not test on Firefox

C.J.(Sun Oct 07 2007 22:03:55 GMT-0700 (PDT))>

I would like for a ticket to be submitted to have a specific patch made to the CSS in order to support this aspect of firefox.

C.J.(Sun Oct 07 2007 22:04:53 GMT-0700 (PDT))>

The CSS class 'sanssmallblack' contains a property 'overflow-y' with a value of 'auto'

C.J.(Sun Oct 07 2007 22:05:30 GMT-0700 (PDT))>

this propert must be altered in order for the chat software to wrap conversations correctly.

Lead Dana(Mon Oct 08 2007 01:05:52 GMT-0700 (PDT))>

I do apologize that the Firefox browser is having issues with our chat client software. What I will do is send this request to our chat support team to have them look into this matter.

beautiful. Please pass on the specific CSS recommendations
